Kendra works as an education consultant/advocate and a cofounder at Thrive Advocacy Group. Kendra has devoted her career to advocating for children and their families. She supports families to gain an understanding of their child’s unique abilities and needs. She is dedicated to assisting children with special needs gain appropriate individualized programming to best meet their unique needs. 

She began her career working with families and their children exposed to abuse and neglect. Kendra earned her Master in Social Work degree from Marywood University providing empowerment-based counseling services to crime victims and their families, and working with hospital patients needing assistance with mental health and substance use issues. After receiving her degree, Kendra went on to advocate for children through her work in a Children’s Advocacy Center.

From there, Kendra earned her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Delaware. Kendra participated in and completed the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) Special Education Advocate Training (SEAT) 1.0 and 2.0. SEAT 2.0 was a year-long course-based training along with a practice experience for those involved with special education advocacy.  Kendra then provided education advocacy services at a local law firm.
